Do you have to pay for your additional connection?
The charges of Add-On connections depend upon the Postpaid Family Plan you are on. For plans wherein free Add on connections are available, you will not be charged for any plan rental for the add on connection. However, for plan like 399 and 499, you will be charged a nominal monthly rental of Rs.249 for each add on connection. Here are the available plan details for your reference.

Terms and Conditions of Airtel Postpaid Family Plans:
Maximum 8 Add-ons numbers can be added in a family plan, including the free add-ons as per Plan opted
Primary/parent numbers can manage the add-on services anytime such as data allocation, addition/removal of add-on connections, change bill plan.
Parent and add-on numbers should be of the same state/circle to enjoy family plan benefits
Advance rental on addon number shall be forfeited in case it exits from the family plan
If the parent removes the add-on number from the family plan, the new address of the add-on number should be a part of the postpaid serviceable area defined by Airtel. Post successful address verification of addon number, it will be migrated as an individual number, and benefits of the family plan will cease to apply for such an individual number.
In case of non-payment of a bill, services for the entire family group (parent and add-on numbers) shall be stopped
Add-on numbers will be able to purchase Value Added Services (e.g. Hello tune, MCA, etc). Charges for such services will be billed to the parent number
Services like data can be shared between parent and Add-on numbers whereas Value Added Services, International Roaming, ISD are not sharable within a family
All other benefits of Platinum plans will hold true for Family plans as well.
Parent and Add-on numbers cannot be a corporate connection.
Both parent and add-on numbers should be active to enjoy family plan benefits.
The only parent will have the rights to add or remove add-on numbers, change bill plan,s and buy more data for the family plan.
